Porridge with Pomegranate, Pears & Pistachios

A lovely warming version of the pomegranate and pear porridge, so good for you with the anti-inflammatory effects pomegranates are full off
Serves: 1
  • 60g Rolled Oats (buy gluten free if required)
  • 300ml Milk (I use Coconut Soya Milk but totally up to the individual)
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tsp Maple Syrup
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 x Ripe Pear (cored)
  • Seeds of ½ Pomegranate
  • 1 tbsp. Pistachio Nuts
  1. Place the oats, milk, cinnamon (optional), maple syrup and vanilla in a saucepan and mix well and heat over a medium heat for around 2-3 minutes.
  2. Blitz the pear in a small food processor and add to the oat mixture and continue to heat over a medium heat for around 5-7 minutes
  3. Place the porridge into a bowl and scatter with the pomegranate seeds and crushed pistachio nuts
